Behaviour is an increasing problem in schools creating stress, anxiety and illness. School Improvement Officers, Ofsted inspectors, Literacy Advisors, Numeracy Advisors all add to the pressure to raise achievement levels.
Learning can't improve unless behaviour improves.
Behaviour is the number one reason for teachers leaving their jobs.
Many teachers feel powerless, ineffective and have little job satisfaction.
This situation can change - read Behaviour Bible and follow the advice.
So much is written about behaviour management strategies so what can I offer you that’s different to help you improve children's behaviour?
Behaviour Bible is a highly recommended book offering strategies I use daily to successfully manage Year 2 to Year 8 pupils all of whom have severe social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD), either at risk of permanent exclusion or permanently excluded from mainstream schools - in fact displaying many of the behaviours evident in so many classrooms and schools today.
Behaviour Bible - described as ‘an ebook, a course, a manual’ teaching about managing children’s behaviour - all children, not just those currently with behaviour problems. You don’t have to pay vast amounts from a school’s valuable resources and have staff away from school on courses that don’t live up to their promises. You don’t have to wait for other professionals, most of whom don’t actually manage children’s behaviour face to face, to visit your school and ‘advise’ on behaviour strategies. Do you know that much of such advice offered is downloaded from computer software? Or copied from files that most schools have gathering dust on staffroom shelves!!!
My advice works not only with the most acute behaviour problems - it is very effective with all children - to prevent behaviour problems escalating, to create calm, reassuring and productive classes. Your school can become a place of behavioural excellence….all for the price of a paper back - plus you receive ongoing regular advice and support

Ask yourself …
Am I unhappy with aspects of behaviour in my school or class?
Am I unsure what to do about behaviour problems?
Yes? Behaviour Bible will help you.
Are you one of these education professionals?
A Head Teacher:
who wants their staff to be more confident and effective behaviour managers … or
who's noticed minor disruptions (the thin edge of the wedge) and wants to prevent behaviour problems escalating … or
seeking to raise standards of behaviour and learning, encourage pupil inclusion and reduce staff stress … or
relieved the government is promoting discipline but not sure how to discipline effectively?
A newly qualified teacher:
with insufficient training and experience in behaviour management?
A student teacher:
lacking knowledge of implementing effective behaviour management strategies?
An experienced teacher:
lacking confidence in managing discipline problems … or
suddenly inherited problem pupils?
A qualified HLTA/LTA:
given extra responsibilities but not sure how to manage behaviour effectively?
A trainee LTA:
lacking experience and strategies to effectively manage behaviour?
I will explain:
What strategies to use…
When to use the strategies…
How to use the strategies…
Why the strategies work…
With Behaviour Bible you will be able to implement proven strategies that impact positively on children’s behaviour, enabling you to encourage inclusion and learning through a combination of skill linked with differentiation and classroom management. I will show you that effective behaviour management can be learned and practised, resulting in a calm, enjoyable environment.
You will be advised on classroom management techniques that anyone can implement with very little effort.
So many books and articles read offer advice about managing
unacceptable behaviour but lack detail to inform on what
action to take, leaving unanswered questions such as:
What expectations do I set?
When do I act?
What should I say?
How should I speak?
What result should I expect?
What should I follow up with?
All this and much more will be covered in Behaviour Bible -
in a simple, easy to follow format
I will explain how powerful, simple strategies impact on behaviour, reducing stress in adults and children
And: why we should be dealing with behaviour problems from a different perspective and how a different approach, following proven strategies will give you more time to teach and, as a result, raise learning standards.
I talk about your two roles in the classroom - one you are trained for and one that you are by definition… why the second role is so important and without recognising its importance you will not fulfil your role as a teacher.
I offer straightforward and effective strategies that work with all pupils, including those considered unmanageable. Using them consistently will reduce stress, give you peace of mind and the knowledge that you’re doing
the best for your pupils and yourself.
What behaviours have children referred to me displayed?
aggression, disruption, violence, defiance,
non-cooperation, non-compliance, refusal, manipulation, confrontation, physical abuse, verbal abuse, bad attitude, swearing, bullying, absconding, school refusal
Step by step, effective behaviour management strategies
are explained in down to earth language
and have been tested by people in your position
to ensure they are easy to understand and follow.
Who am I?
Another ‘expert’ who hasn’t taught for years?
No ... I’m a teaching practitioner who every day works with children
diagnosed with severe behaviour problems. Some have been considered only suitable for therapeutic residential provision, but when managed effectively have been successfully included and educated in mainstream schools.
I use my 10 years experience and expertise to ensure mainstream teachers
have an easier, more relaxing and productive professional life.
The strategies are seen to work time after time.
Teachers have urged me to offer my proven, practical advice to a wider audience.
The result is Behaviour Bible.
Do you have to go on a training course to learn these skills?
No you don’t. The strategies can be implemented immediately. They are easy to understand and you can see positive results as soon as you start.
It can’t be that easy - yes it can!!!!
A Support Assistant who joined our team was astounded by the simplicity of the strategies I propose. She has become a successful and confident behaviour practitioner and told me,
‘Liz, I wouldn’t have believed it was all so simple .. ’
I detail our conversation in Behaviour Bible. Her experiences reinforced
my belief in the need for simple and easy to follow strategies
to enable successful behaviour management to be
implemented by education professionals.
Can you learn successful and effective behaviour management
strategies from reading a book?
Yes, you can. Much of the work I do to support schools is done remotely - by phone or email. When a situation is described, I use the strategies in Behaviour Bible to guide teachers, leading them to take control of difficult situations and preventing escalations. One support assistant, having followed the advice is now successfully leading a mainstream senior school science lesson, overcoming previously severe behaviour problems.
Did I always have these behaviour management skills?
Absolutely not - I had to learn these strategies and skills and want you to know that you can learn them as well.
Let me tell you about my first day dealing with
very difficult behaviour 10 years ago:
As a successful mainstream school teacher having taught across KS2 (and previously FE Colleges) I was considered a good behaviour manager. So, with great enthusiasm, I plunged into the world of serious behaviour management - the sort of behaviour many schools now encounter every day and
which causes fear and distress in teachers.
Day 1 came and I had a class of 3 - yes, you’ve read it correctly - 3!! (two year 6 and one year 5). Surely it couldn’t be too difficult, could it? It was dreadful!!! Within the first half hour the 2 year 6 boys were fighting and one ended up with a big lump on his head after the other one had thrown a metal tin at him.
I hadn’t a clue what to do, and they knew it!!
The younger boy eventually said to me, ‘Do you want me to go for help?’
So he did.

I completely understand what it’s like to feel
out of your depth and unsure what to do.

Nothing improved until I developed and implemented effective strategies. I had to learn from experience - there was no training course to teach me what I needed.
